About Us
Waterloo Tamil Students Association (WaTSA) is an organization primarily designed to enrich the overall experience of Tamil students attending both the University of Waterloo and Wilfred Laurier Universtiy. This involves aiding students with adequate resources, advice, inspiration, leisure and fun, and providing them with a network of dependable individuals who run WaTSA to help students expand their horizons and grow into the potential leaders of tomorrow.
The aim of the organization is based on four principles:
1) Academic/Career Skills
2) Leadership Development
3) Unity
3) Representation
Being a voice of many undergraduate Tamil students, WaTSA is dedicated toward:
1. Representing UW and WLU Tamil students on campus, within the Tamil community and all across Canada.
2. Fostering students with their need for success throughout university and onward by hosting dynamic events, workshops and providing activities to increase their involvement.
3. Building the foundations and further development of students for both their university and professional careers. WaTSA will encourage its members and set a standard for all Tamil organizations who hearten others Tamils to jump over hurdles and climb to the top.
