Larry Smith, a UW economist reowned for supporting students and their ideas, gave a talk entitled Getting Your Foot through the Hidden Job Market on Monday evening. He discussed techniques that students can use to network on the job. He provided examples from a variety of circumstances to show them how they can realistically pursue their dreams. WaTSA inaugurated it's first Mentorship Program this fall, starting with a Meet and Greet between Mentors and Proteges. This event allowed upper years students to establish goals and build productive relationships with their junior Proteges. We are happy to be part of the development process of our members in the organization.

It was a privilege for WaTSA to get an inside look into 55 years of experience with one of Canada’s leading entrepreneurs, Harry Rosen, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Canadian luxury men’s wear store Harry Rosen Inc. We learned a lot about his progressive approach to service, technology and marketing.
